Lee Xue Jing
Teacher
Xue Jing is an accomplished contemporary dance artist based in Singapore, with a profound passion for dance, choreography, teaching, and performance. Trained in ballet, contemporary, and Chinese dance, her extensive background reflects a deep commitment to exploring diverse movement languages. Xue Jing holds a Master of Arts in Dance Performance from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance (London, UK), and a Diploma in Dance from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (Singapore), complemented by an exchange semester at SUNY Purchase College Conservatory of Dance (New York, US). In 2016, she was honored with the Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan Arts and Cultural Award for her artistic contributions.
Her professional career includes being a member of the Transitions Dance Company (2018/19) and participating in the *SCAPEdance residency programme (2020/21), where she honed her artistic practice and collaborative skills. Additionally, Xue Jing is a certified contempFIT instructor (2024), underscoring her expertise in integrating wellness with contemporary dance.
Currently, Xue Jing teaches and choreographs for a wide range of students, from preschoolers to adults, across various settings including contemporary dance CCAs in MOE schools, dance studios, and fitness centers. Her pedagogical approach is rooted in cultivating both technical proficiency and artistic expression, empowering students to explore the full potential of movement. Xue Jing is also actively involved in performance projects, continuously contributing to the evolving landscape of contemporary dance.
With a belief in the transformative power of dance, Xue Jing seeks to inspire students to find joy and meaning in movement, while fostering personal growth and wellness at every stage of their artistic journey.
